It's all original hotness, straight off the burner, produced entirely by 4th Streets in-house hit-makers - BEWARE, TJ Mack & Savidge. My Speakers on the radio tonight!
It has long been a goal to get one of our songs played on the radio... FM, prime time radio. Tonight we score, tonight on Detroits FM 98WJLB between 9-10 "My Speakers" is gettin spun. All next month too! We've wanted this for a long time but let's face it... this is, or at least was, the best song for the radio we've ever had. This is a great achievement for everyone on our team, but it might be a little extra exciting for BEWARE who made the beat for "My Speakers" and obviously Im stoked! Below is the music video for My Speakers produced by our boy Black aka NEP. So please tune into tomorrow and ill try to have a link for steaming 4 the rest of the world. How do you describe creativity? Is it setting a trend? Is it creating something unique out of the norm? Or, is it simply getting off your ass and doing something you typically wouldn't do? The answer is actually D) All of the Above, Alex, and in our new video for "iMAGiNATiON" ALLiTIZ displays all that and more. You know how? By breaking into friends' houses and stealing pillows, blankets and comforters to build a seven-room fort in his basement. That's how.

One of our biggest fans using his "iMAGiNATiON"...
Our buddy Sean C. has become very quickly familiar with the ALLiTiZ movement. In fact he's worked his way up to the front line and has decide to pull weight like the guys on the Worlds Strongest Man competition on ESPN2. Then, after about ten listens, you absorb the lyrics and realize the meaning is deeper than surface reveals? Well, this new joint from ALLiTiZ is one of those. A taco-neck-inducing slice of sonic sensation, "Imagination" is this 4th St soldier's melodic melodic message to those in need of mental stimulation.

Cereal Game (Feat. BEWARE) Part 1

Have you ever heard of rendering? BEWARE has. So BEWARE has managed to quickly surface his talents as a music video producing. But I think recently he wishes he could go back to those laid back weekends of just kickin it and making dope beats. Rendering for those who don't know, like me 2 weeks ago is a process you must put your video footage through if you move any clip with an effect on it. So every time you move something the bigger the clip or amount of the effect can take up to 10min a move! and we move clips a lot! Anyways... heres some simple footage of BEWARE and I messing around in the studio while we waited 4 our next single/ music video "Imagination" was rendering.... it iZ what it iZ

DOWNLOAD - Basement Mix 62
Ever since my hazy days of high school, I've always kept up with the greatest and latest jams, compiling as many songs as I can fit onto a CD-R and turning them into my monthly-or-so mixtapes. They're always super random, strategically-picked from hundreds of songs and most of the time end up stolen or given away. Since these hot tapes started being concocted underneath my moms crib, I began calling them Basement Mixes. Despite becoming second-story or bungalow mixes as time passed, the name stuck, while the soundscapes broadened and became more refined along the way. The latest installment, which happens to be my first released via a legit platform, is no different.

Goodnight/Good Morning:Like riding a bike...
It's been a HOT minute since I've shown my face in the "Open Mic" scene. Last night was my first performance of the new year - it had almost been a full year since I had performed. WOW! me and BEWARE used to go to 5-6 open mic's a week a year ago. So how did it feel? It felt good, real good.
"Ooooww it's hard to hold back the urge to rap..." thats the first line to a new track we're still working on called "The Baddest" That line says it ALL. What you're reading, watching, and hearing is a rapper in transition. A rapper is just a rapper. If YOU asked a rapper what he/she was or did they would most likely say "Im a rapper"
If YOU asked me what I am I wouldn't say that. I might say "I make music" then YOU would say "What kind of music do you make?" then I would respond "What Kind of music do YOU like?" then almost frustrated YOU would say "well... I like all types music" then I would quickly chime in "Thats what type of music I make - ALL types."
Then we'd go get "LOUD" and go bump some REAL good music.

Im so scared right now....

We went three years and five mixtapes without dropping a single music video. Now, for the second time in less than two weeks, I'm letting loose of a new viral visual from 4th St Beats' lead artist ALLiTiZ. This go round, though, instead of Oprah out-takes and half-nude moonwalking on behalf of a two-year-old, side-eye-inducing speciality song, Royal Oak's most well-rounded artist delivers a delectable jam specifically for your stereo.

In The Cut
Tonight, er...last night, Young Wiz Khalifa sold out Royal Music Theatre on 4th St. TWICE. The crowd was the opposite of diverse, filled with nothing but non-shaving Taylor-Gang foot soldiers, who carried their freshly-grown weed-smoking habits on their tight, $30-dollar-T's like a shiny, little badge. Then there was us, the relatively old guys blowing loud on the balcony, casually gazing in awe at the Pittsburgh MC's sea of magnetized fans. The show had the residual energy from the Steelers victory and was well worth the ticket, but truthfully...I was more 'mesmerized' by the fact this inked-up young'n can sell out the one venue I aspire to rock - TWICE in one night - like it ain't no thang.
It was little over a year ago, I had pulled over temporarily from my measly outside sales job into a barren parking lot in Ecorse, to interview this would-be XXL-Freshman-turned-Top-40-sensation over the phone for TSS. Then only 21-years-old, this rising star was laid back like a Craftmatic bed and cooler than a cucumber, even despite the fact he was on set with private jets shooting the video for his outer space farewell, "This Plane." Then a few months later, after catching a candid performance of him and Spitta rocking a low key spot in Austin during SXSW, I even had the chance to personally give Wiz a disc of my first batch of beats I deemed 'worthy.' A shot in the dark I knew, but it was a once-in-lifetime opportunity there for the taking, so - with LC's help - I took it. Now, almost a year later, I still haven't heard back about my beats and he's rocking TWO packed houses a few blocks away from where I grew up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hatin' on the young man gettin' money, but it's just humbling. Especially, when I can still walk to the venue from my house.
Either way, I was inspired, to say the least.
Since we got stuck with tickets to the 6pm show (yeah, WTF is that!?), I had time to come back to the studio and crank out a certified banger. It's definitely the best beat I've made all year and might actually warrant a call back, if I ever get a chance to catch that Plane again.

My Speakers They Bang...(Goodnight/Good Morning)
Lately us @ 4th St Beats have been so busy with our own projects that we don't even have the time to do what we love most... music. Well our "Camp" hears a lot of ALLiTiZ music, but I'm talking about music. Music you don't create, write, compose or any of those. Those things are only one part of music as a whole. If people become hermits to their own creative crafts there flame will die out. All people, but especially musicians and artist need to absorbed, and receive creativity too. We can't stop...not yet, it's in out best interest to work as hard as we can to continue to push ourselves to accomplish our goals! bbbbutttttttt everybody needs a break.
Not us though, not yet.
It's your turn to take a break. We've been flying fake airplanes into your mouths for too long and now. So now were gonna tease you teethers with some solid stuff. 2006-2009
Our recently-released rehash of ALLiTiZ' professional output might be a recollection, but this post definitely won't be. Basically, while iZ and I feel our time spent soaking up the trials and tribulations of making music for money was beneficial, we both know in our hearts we could have worked smarter, instead of so hard. Quite frankly, we got burnt out and that's why the year we just celebrated appears bypassed on our 2006-2009 mixtape. Until about April, it was. Then the studio got built, the inspirational wick got relit and we banged out 40 new songs. Some were good, some were over-thought and 13 will comprise Just Be Yourself, our most marketable project to date.
We know it's been a while since you heard from us, so we wanted to save you the trouble of digging up our jams or even downloading our five previous releases (which you can do anyways), by compiling this best-of-an-era LP to show you a simple sampling of what we're capable of in 2011.
Actually, 'end-of-an-era LP' might be a better way to put it.

Help Wanted: JBY Cover
Like I said yesterday, the next project coming out of my 4th St Camp is ALLiTiZ' 2-years-in-the-waiting street album, Just B Yoursel4 (Yeah, we like the '4' instead of the 'f' better, too). Considering the time between releases - his last legitimate offering was Get Broke on Dec 23, 2008 - an overhaul on the sound and iZ's own personal life were welcome. Owing it to ourselves - as well as all of our old and upcoming fans - to make this LP as good as possible, we're willing to make precautionary changes along the way to ensure the final product is worthy of your liking.
That said, we're wondering what you think of this potential cover for JBY. We have our own opinions, but...before I sway anyone's opinion, I'd like to see what our target audience thinks.
Is it universal enough?

To everyone who's been down with us since day four, this is what you've been waiting on. To everyone who's new to the group, grab some comfy kicks and more than a couple packs for the road, because this is about to be quite a journey. More than a feeling, if you catch my drift. Yup, we finally got our sh!t together. No more broken promises people, just tons of brand-new music, a regularly-updated website and blog, full-blown music production company, plenty of tax write-offs, killer collabos and everything else you never thought we could do. Three albums this year, we promise. It'll be 2008, all over again. But with 10x better music, as our craft continually gets conquered by the millisecond. First will be ALLiTiZ' long-overdue street debut Just Be Yourself, come mid-March or sooner.
To tide yourself over though, check out my freshly-directed/edited video for "Mr. Fu%k It," the lead single/video from ALLiTiZ' recently-released rehashing mixtape, 2006-2009. And, if you like this, find comfort in the fact this ain't seen diddly squat. This was our first time using Final Cut Pro. EVER.
So, basically, do yourself a favor and get on board now, before all the late passes get sold on Craigslist.
